Lynn Ward, EdD, RHIA, CPHIMS, has served in various roles within the Health Information Management profession, ranging from acting as an HIM Director, working in quality improvement, teaching face-to-face courses at the community college level, teaching full time in an online HIM program, serving as the program director of a CAHIIM accredited online HIM program, and most recently working as the Associate Dean of the undergraduate and graduate degree HIM programs at Southern New Hampshire University. She completed her doctorate in education through Capella University in March 2018. As a volunteer on several AHIMA workgroups, She lends her knowledge and experience to the HIM community. Ward has served on the Board of Directors of New Hampshire Health Information Management Association. She also served as a peer reviewer for Perspectives in Health Information Management. Lynn is the current Chair of the AHIMA Council on Excellence in Education (CEE).
