What is AOE?
The Assembly on Education Symposium (AOE) is AHIMA’s annual symposium on education. On August 3–5, 2020, our health information educator community came together for the live virtual experience to see innovative educational resources and activate leading approaches in education. Keynote Speaker
Merida L. Johns, PhD, RHIA is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in healthcare information systems. She served as AHIMA’s president in 1997, has held tenured faculty positions at The Ohio State University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was the founding director of the graduate program in Health Informatics, and directed the graduate program in Information Systems Management, School of Business, Loyola University Chicago. She is founder and president of The Monarch Center for Women’s Leadership Development.
