Darla Branda, EdD, RHIA, currently serves as Clinical Faculty for Health Professions in the Master of Science program in Health Information Management (HIM) at Southern New Hampshire University. Dr. Branda has served in various HIM roles at a level one trauma hospital in the Midwest and as a consultant for hospitals throughout Northern California. Dr. Branda is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where she specialized in radar operations. She is a credentialed RHIA and holds a bachelor’s degree in HIM, and a master’s degree in Higher Education from Saint Louis University. Dr. Branda earned a Doctor of Education degree in organizational leadership from Abilene Christian University. Her dissertation research focused on the challenges and barriers of professional practice experience in HIM education.
