Darline Foltz, RHIA, CHPS, CEHRS, CPC is a full-time associate professor in the Health Information Systems Technology Program at the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Foltz has a bachelor of science degree in HI management from Ohio State University and a bachelor's in information systems from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to joining the University of Cincinnati in January 2013, Ms. Foltz spent her career in many facets of hi management including director of HIM and director of IS and telecommunications at Deaconess Hospital and director of HIM at the Drake Center. She also owns a consulting business and has consulted in hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, nursing homes, dialysis clinics, physician offices, mental health agencies, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, and rehabilitation hospitals and is the co-author of a textbook, Exploring the EHR.
