Elise Van Zandt Lambert, PhD, MSHI, RHIA
Elise Van Zandt Lambert, Ph.D., MSHI, RHIA, is a Texas State University clinical assistant professor in the Health Information Management (HIM) Department. Dr. Lambert received her BS in HI management with a minor in health informatics from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Following that Texas State University clinical assistant professor in the Health Information Management (HIM) Department, she became a revenue cycle manager at Acadiana Computer Systems (ACS) and received her RHIA®. During this time, she began the journey of earning her Master of Science degree in health informatics and information management from Louisiana Tech University. In 2021, she transitioned to the hospital side of healthcare finance as a market financial analyst/assistant controller at HCA - St. David's Healthcare. In 2021, she graduated from the University of South Alabama with her doctorate in business administration with a concentration in management. Dr. Lambert's 11 years in the healthcare industry, education, and research efforts provide a current perspective on today's healthcare operations.
