Jackie Moczygemba, MBA, RHIA, CCS is an associate professor in the Department of Health Information Management at Texas State University. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in HI management. Prior to teaching, Ms. Moczygemba spent 12 years as a director of HI management in an acute care hospital. She also has several years of experience in HI management consulting in long-term care. She received her bachelor’s degree in medical records administration and master’s in business administration from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University). She was named a Fellow of AHIMA 2012.  Ms. Moczygemba is a member of the editorial review panel for Perspectives in Health Information Management. Her research areas include health data quality, electronic health records (EHRs), and usability factors associated with HI technology.
