Been a part of the LGBTQ+ community for 30+ years

Driven to make healthcare affirming and welcoming to ALL in Kent County (and beyond) by providing education, training, advocacy, and being involved in any way she can to make sure no-one avoids health care because they were treated poorly. 

Background is in behavioral health, addiction medicine, cancer health, and community medicine. She has spent over 20 years working on the operations side of healthcare including large health systems as well as FQHCs.

Executive Director of the Grand Rapids LGBTQ+ Healthcare Consortium 

Started a LGBTQ employee resource group, chaired a professional inclusion program at her local chamber of commerce, been a member of the board of directors for local LGBTQ+ resource center, and created the “Top Surgery” clinic for transgender men at a local health system
