Julia Steff, DHSc, MHSc, RHIA, CPHQ, CPHIMS, CPHI, CCS, CCS-P, FAHIMA, is currently an assistant professor for the Health Information Programs at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience and has worked in healthcare for more than 30 years in a variety of settings and with various job titles. She completed her health information administration degree at Stephens College. Her master of health science with a concentration in patient safety, risk management, and compliance, as well as her doctorate in health science with a concentration in education for health occupations were completed at Nova Southeastern University. She holds the RHIA, CPHQ, CPHIMS, CPHI, CCS, and CCS-P credentials and is a fellow of AHIMA.
