Mohammad Bajwa, RHIA, CPHI, CPHIMS

 

Mohammad Bajwa, RHIA, CPHI, CPHIMS, is currently working as Professor of Health Informatics at the University of Maryland Global Campus. He holds a PhD in biochemistry; three master’s degrees in biology, information technology, and health information management; and three graduate certificates in health informatics, health information management and exchange, and health data analytics, and four Health IT/IT industry certifications (CPHIMS, CPHI, RHIA, MCSE).  Dr. Bajwa has developed several undergraduate and graduate programs in Health Information Management and Health Informatics. He has over 25 years of national and international university level teaching experience, has extensively published in journals and professional magazines and presented at both national and international conferences.  He is an active member of HIMSS, MDHIMSS, AHIMA, and MDHIMA, and he actively participates in their local, national, and international professional activities.
