Susan L. Foster, EdD, MBA, RHIA, CHPS, CHC, CHPC, CIPP/US, CC, FAHIMA, is the health information technology program director with the School of Health Professions at Florida SouthWestern State College. In 2022, Dr. Foster was awarded Fellowship of AHIMAin recognition of her significant and sustained contributions to the advancement of the HI profession. She has over 29 years of experience in healthcare compliance, reimbursement, quality management, process improvement, accreditation, data and information governance, data analytics, population health informatics, and consumer engagement. Dr. Foster is an accomplished and motivated higher education professional, experienced with diverse student populations, faculty, and academic leaders. Areas of expertise include curriculum development, online instructional design, academic administration, accreditation, student success, and student development. She has campus experience with community colleges, state universities, and private non-profit institutions, and advocates for interdisciplinary health science research.
